A late 18th/early 19th Century Chinese reverse painting on glass, 'The Guqin player' depicting a young girl, dressed in elaborate robes before the traditional seven-string musical instrument, heightened throughout with gilt detail, in later frame, 50cm x 34.5cm, in frame 59cm x 45cm.
Condition report
The painting remains in good conditon, hower shows some darkening and minor paint loss throughout
Possible areas of re-touching to the flesh coloured areas.
Colours remain vibrant
Frame shows some damage to the edges.
