CONTINENTAL SCHOOL (LATE 17TH CENTURY) - Portrait of a young boy wearing elaborate armour and plumbed helmet holding a gold tipped staff, oil on canvas laid down board, three quarter length, a painted oval, framed 93cm x 78cm, frame size 123cm x 107cm.

Condition report
Canvas is laid down to hardboard, craquelure commensurate with age, some overpainting particularly to bottom edge and to edge of arm holding staff revealed under UV. Several light scratches, surface very dirty would benefit from a clean. Presented in a later gilt and gesso molded frame with some knocks and losses.
