A Victorian brass bound rosewood veneered writing slope, with leather lined writing surface and a glass inkwell, height 15.5cm, width 35.5cm and depth 23cm, together with a walnut veneered work box, lacking internal tray, height 14cm, width 27cm and depth 19.5cm, both S/D. (2)
Condition report
Writing slope - there is no key and the lock plate is missing. There is some splitting to the lid. The veneer is chipped adjacent to the hinges. Some splitting and wear to the leather writing surface.
Work box - The key is present, but the outside of the box is worn through age and use and there is a ring mark to the lid. The lift-out tray is missing from the interior.
