A 19th Century French figure in the manner of Derby, possibly Sampson, modelled as a figure in standing pose wearing doublet, hose, cape and ruff standing before a balustrade with draped cloth, picked out in enamel colours with gilded highlights, red crown and crossed sword mark, height 26cm.
Condition report
Some slight damage to the bird on his hat, otherwise free from damage or restoration.
