Lot

Lot 497: Sold for £260 hammer

Estimate £200-£300

An 18th Century and later oak dresser with associated two-tier plate rack over, fitted with five frieze drawers over two cupboards, height of base 78cm and overall height 208cm, width of base 189cm and width of plate rack 198cm, depth 48cm, S/D.

Condition report
The plate rack appears to be later associated. There are later repairs to the top of the cornice. There is woodworm damage to the plate rack and also quite extensively to the base section. The top of the base section appears to be a later two plank example. Has been repolished / waxed at some point. The drawer handles are later. Originally on stile feet but these have now worn / been cut down to almost nothing. There is a later skirted bead across the front of the base.
