A 19th Century Chinese black lacquer and gilded box, finely decorated with cartouche panels depicting figures to a courtyard setting within borders decorated with dragons, width 21.5cm, S/D.
Condition report
The box has suffered losses to the rear section of the lid around the hinges with material missing, wear to the decoration and general rubbing to the gilded design on the cover.
