A Chinese Yixing 'Eight Xian Immortals' brushpot, Bitong, the cylindrical form pot inscribed to the exterior with eight panels detailing the immortal figures each holding their relevant attribute, within banded rim and footrim borders, height 9cm, diameter 13cm, signed with character marks to base.
Condition report
Losses and wear to the upper footrim, with small shallow chips to the edges, scratching and interior wear to the interior of the brushpot.
Small losses and wear to the relief points at the banded rim decoration.
Significant scuffing, wear and scratching to the underside of the footrim.
