Robert Wallace Martin - Martin Brothers - An early 20th Century stoneware bird jar and cover modelled standing alert with slightly curled beak with slight comical expression and broad webbed claws, his slightly fluffed plumage glazed in green, brown and blue, affixed to an ebonised wooden plinth, incised R.W Martin & Brothers, London & Southall and dated 1902, the neck similarly incised and dated 3.1902, height 21cm (24cm including plinth).

Condition report
There have been two small chips professionally restored. One to the inner collar of the head and one to the outer rim of the base to the rear. Both the repairs are of the highest standards and are undetectable to the eye and just visible with black light. They are of a very high standard and would not need reworking. The rest of the bird is in excellent order.
