A 19th Century papier mache writing slope, with inlaid mother of pearl and hand painted floral detail and with a scalloped edge to the hinged lid, width 30cm and depth 24cm, A/F.
Condition report
The hinges to the lid have been replaced and the pins are visible from the outside. The lock has been removed. There are chips and bruises around the edges and corners. Half of the writing slope is missing from the interior, as are the inkwells and also the pen tray.
