Lot 1193: Sold for £340 hammer

Estimate £80-£120

Three De La Rue Onoto fountain pens, each in a burnt orange marbled finish with plunger filling mechanism, together with a similar De La Rue Onoto black fountain pen, an unnamed Art Deco chromium plated propelling pencil and a late Victorian bone Stanhope dip pen, S/D. (6)

Condition report
Two of the marbled pens have been personalised with an ES monogram to the cap. One of these pens is complete with its green Onoto box. The plungers operate to each of the pens. One of the caps is cracked to a marbled pen and this pen, together with another, has been slightly chewed at the shank end. The image has slipped out of the viewing end of the Stanhope dipping pen. The propelling pencil appears to be OK. Extra detail Cased Onto nib 3 Black Onoto marked Delarue (No number) Two orange cased Onoto's both stamped No 3( one has the cap cracked)
