Lot 990: Sold for £460 hammer

Estimate £120-£150

A late 19th to early 20th Century mahogany graduated chest of six drawers, with chamfered pilasters and recessed brass handles over a plinth base, height 121cm, width 88cm and depth 48cm.

Condition report
Some scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. Some gouge marks to the right hand side. There is no key. Five of the keyhole escutcheons are missing. The escutcheon to the top drawer is pushed in and the lock is missing. There is a chip out of the rear of the top drawer front adjacent to where the lock would have been - presumably caused by the lock being forced at some point.
