An early 19th Century oak longcase clock with an eight day movement striking on a bell, the case with twin swan neck pediment over reeded pillars and conforming pilasters either side of the trunk door, the 14 inch broken arch dial with rocking ship automaton to the arch, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed 'William Rowlands, Pwllheli', height 216cm, S/D.

Condition report
A pair of weights and the pendulum are present. There is some wear and splitting to the brass finials and roundels to the pediment. The base of the trunk is split. Some reconstruction of the base and replacement feet. There is some scuffing and loss to the painted finish to the bottom right hand corner of the dial. The seat board has been replaced indicating that the movement may have been 'married' to the case. Thewre is a scuff across the lower bottom right of the dial at an angle, it appears the the case and hood have been cleaned but not recently.
