Lot 811: Sold for £85 hammer

Estimate £80-£120

An early 20th Century French regulator mantel clock, the brass case with bevel cut glass panels enclosing the eight day movement stamped Marti et Cie and numbered 3149, with mercury compensated pendulum and a paper dial, with engraved inscription to the case, height 36cm, width 21cm and depth 16cm, S/D.

Condition report
Pendulum is present but there is no winding key. The paper dial is worn and discoloured. The suspension feather for the pendulum has been snapped and requires attention. There is a solder repair to the strike hammer, but this has since been bent out of shape and therefore currently does not strike.
