Condition report
First issue with the ?Fireside? plate and ?Boz? on the title-pages Vol I - leather spine very brittle and flaking, with losses. Boards worn and stained. Pencil inscription to inside front boards, spine splitting internally, some ink scribbles to reverse of front illustration, some illustrated plates are torn, general foxing throughout. Vol II - wear to boards, spine a little worn but otherwise good order. Front paper removed. Foxing throughout particularly to the plates. One illustration has been partially coloured in watercolour, internally good Vol III leather spine is brittle and beginning to break up. Boards worn and some surface abrasion and loss. Foxing throughout particularly to first few pages front and back and plates. Overall good
