An early 20th Century French walnut and brass inlaid tambour top writing desk, opening to reveal a fitted interior with a pen tray over three drawers and a hinged felt-lined writing slope, the painted detail to the slope and further fitted drawer, all raised to reeded and tapered legs united by a cross stretcher, height 87cm, width 66cm and depth 40cm, S/D.
Condition report
There is some wear to the painted detail on the hinged slope and the drawer front. There is no key. The brass inlay is beginning to lift slightly to the sides. The inkwells are missing from the interior.
