A late 19th to early 20th Century taxidermy head study of gharial or gavial crocodile (Gavialis gangeticus), with inset glass eyes, mounted to a shield shaped bracket shelf, length of head 75cm, dimensions of the bracket height 90cm and width 32cm. Provenance - Taken by the present owner's grandfather when he served in the army in India, circa 1900.

Condition report
Condition is generally good although there are a few teeth missing.
