Chris Berry (1932–2014) - A 1950s walnut bookcase with sliding glazed double doors above chamfered legs, height 89.5cm, width 68.5cm and depth 30cm, S/D NB - Chris Berry qualified in Art and Design at Loughborough in 1952. This cabinet was designed and made by Chris as part of his assessment for his finals. It was then sent down to the Royal College of Art in London for further assessment. After National Service he went to work designing furniture. He won awards for some of his designs in the early 1960s from the Design Centre.
Condition report
There are a number of ring marks to the top of the bookcase.
