Lot 1150: Estimate £100-£150

An 1845 pattern British infantry officer sword, the fullered blade with crowned VR, stamped 'B. Adams opposite the theatre, Plymouth', the brass hilt with crowned cypher with a replacement wire bound leather grip and later pommel, complete with steel scabbard, length of blade 823cm and overall length of sword 97cm, some damage and repair.

Condition report
As mentioned in the description, the grip has been replaced with leather and has been re-bound in wire. The brass pommel is a later replacement. There are some small cracks to the scrollwork of the brass hilt. Some light pitting to the blade and scuffing to the tip of the blade. There is some light corrosion and pitting to the scabbard.
