James Lethbridge & Arlon Bayliss - A large lighting piece, clear blown form, lampworked borosilcate additions, UV glue, made 2010, measures 56 by 32 by 17cm James Lethbridge and Arlon Bayliss worked in a long distance collaboration to create this lighting piece for the Glass Collaborations exhibition Made in Glass at the Red House Glass Cone during summer of 2010. James studied at the International Glass Centre in Brierley Hill and also the Royal College of Art. He has exhibited widely, including the British Glass Biennale 2008 and 2010 and won numerous awards such as the Cockpit Arts Prize in 2010 and been shortlisted for the Bombay Sapphire Prize in 2008. Arlon, a native of the West Midlands, once taught in the glass departments of Stourbridge College of Technology and Art and Wolverhampton Polytechnic.
