Two WWII uniforms formerly belonging to Lt Col Edward Ernest Rider 1908 -1963 Born in Hertfordshire in 1908 one of four brothers he won a scholarship to Berkhamstead school, at the outbreak of war in 1939 he became an officer in the Royal Fusiliers of the London regiment and was drafted into British Military Intelligence Headquarters. In 1940 he was awarded the Belgian Croix de Guerre avec Palme and on March 1946 knighted by the king of Belgium.
