A 20th Century needlework fabric mosaic triptych by Mary Ireland entitled 'Enchantment' based on the prose '...within a fairy ring he stood amid the dim enchanted wood ... and down the silent leafy glade, there came a fair enchanting maid' depicting three figures, one to each panel in the Pre-Raphealite style with a squire to the left, a knight to the centre and a pink velvet dressed maiden to the right, each with chain stitched, velvet, satin and cotton detailing against a mixed fabric backdrop, oak framed with written prose to verso and dated 1933, central panel 41cm x 26cm
