A large pair of late 19th to early 20th Century Japanese Imari baluster vases each decorated with large cartouche panels of ladies dressed in kimonos in a chinoiserie setting with prunus blossom branches and flower heads framed with a gilt and burnt red border edge, flanked to each side with a roundel of blue tits on prunus blossom branches all to a segmented ground with repeat pattern panels and overlay mon and flower head motifs, the lower border edge with blue and white panel sections, unmarked, height 94cm, ILLUSTRATED
