A pair of early 19th Century explorers steel framed spectacles, circular lenses, folding arms, 12cm diameter. Hand written label - Spectacles belonging to Sir James Clarke Ross and used by him on the Antartic expedition Erebus and Terror 1839-42, my Great Grandfather Commander A.J Smith R.N served under him in it.
