An early 19th century Chinese blue and white decorated ewer of swollen ovoid form with tall drawn neck and loop handle later adapted with applied gilt metal mythical beast spout and thumb lift cover, the body over enamelled in black with pattern picked out in red and gold, height 24 cm, damages, together with a 19th century Japanese Imari petal edged dish with panel decoration in red and blue with gilded highlights, (2).
