An 8 Reales, cob or piece of eight from the wreck of The Association sunk in 1707 together with certificate of origin. Recovered by divers from the wreck site on the Western rocks Isles of Scilly from the English flagship The Association launched from Portsmouth in 1697 and sunk on Gilstone rock due to navigational errors culminating in a great loss of life.
