A Chinese late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) bronze incense burner, modelled as a recumbent Qilin, it hollowed body surmounted by a seated figure, with hole aperturn to the mouth.

Condition report
Small areas of loss/wear to the qilin's tail. Hinged figural cover has slight difference colouration, and could possible be a matched cover. Hinge to cover extensively worn. Overall patination indicative of age
