A small Japanese patinated bronze jewellery/trinket box, Meiji (1868-1912)/Taisho (1912-26) period, the scroll feet supporting the rectangular box with removable cover, cast in relief to the exterior with warrior on horseback and scholarly figure, 6cm x 6cm x 5.5cm, together with a mixed metal fan shaped brooch, 4cm x 3cm. (2)
Condition report
The box is free from any signifcant damage, however has overall wear and patination throughout, particularly at the edges and relief areas.
Brooch has some old repairs and wear to the gilt.
