A Chinese cast metal archaic vase, Hu, rising from a high footring and applied with two loop and ring handles, cast with taotie masks and Buddhistic emblems, converted to lamp base, unmarked and weighted, height 37cm.
Condition report
Natural patination and wear throughout. Later converted to a lamp base, a few small repaired holes to the everted rim, few cracks to metal at footrim. Drilled to underside of base and bottom footrim for lamp fittings.
