A pair of late 19th Century Chinese Canton famille rose vases, each of baluster form, extending to a scalloped rim and applied with chilong and shishi relief designs, the body painted with figural panels before floral ground, height 37cm, both S/D. (2)

Condition report
Vase 1 - Large chip to the upper rim, approx. 2cm x 2cm in size, with associated hairline crack. - Several small chips to the upper rim. - Rubbing and wear to the enamel. - Star hairline crack to the underside of the base. Vase 2 - One large chip to the upper rim, 2cm x 2cm in size with associated hairline crack. - Several chips to the upper rim. - Large restored section to the body, approx. 10cm x 10cm in size. - Rubbing and wear to the enamel.
