Malcolm Andrews - A large vase of tall ovoid form decorated in the Graal technique with clear crystal over a tonal blue, green and orange interior with a stylised flower design, engraved signature and date for 1998, height 31 cm. Malcolm Andrews has been an inspiration for new makers for many decades. Having worked at Webb Corbett for 30 years, he became a part-time demonstrater at Stourbridge College for 20 years and also a hot glass lecturer at the International Glass Centre for 10 years. He also had a stint at the famous Gozo Glass works, Malta before taking a well deserved retirement. The pieces he has donated to the auction were demonstration pieces that he made for students at the IGC.
